Pic shows: dog trapped in the sewer.nnThis is the touching moment a frightened Alsatian is finally set free after being trapped in a sewer for four days.nnThe incident happened in the city of Bahia Blanca, in the east Argentine province of Buenos Aires.nnAuthorities received reports of a dog trapped in the sewer with its head and paws sticking out.nnNobody knows how the trapped canine managed to get trapped there, but when local residents saw it they called the authorities. They maintained the trapped animal in good health by giving it water and food during the four days it was trapped inside.nnThe rescue operation was carried out by officers of the Civil Defence with the help of local construction workers who had to dig up the concrete and paving slabs over the sewer.nnImages show a construction worker in the deep hole dug over the sewer.nnA police woman crouches over the small drain hole where the dog has its head sticking out. She is trying to keep the dog calm as a worker tries to widen the hole with a hammer.nnThe police officers slowly push the scared dog's head out from where it is wedged and the construction worker in the hole finally lifts the dog out.nnEverybody cheers as the Alsatian is finally freed and one of the officers gives it a big hug.nnThe authorities are now looking for a loving family to adopt the dog.nn(ends)

Οι διασώστες βοήθησαν το σκυλί, ενώ είχε καταφέρει να επιβιώσει με το κεφάλι και τα πόδια του να προεξέχουν έξω από το σιφώνι του υπονόμου.
Η διάσωση έλαβε χώρα στην πόλη της Bahia Blanca, στην ανατολική επαρχία του Μπουένος Άιρες, στην Αργεντινή.
Ένας αστυνομικός έσκυψε από πάνω και προσπαθούσε να το κρατήσει ήρεμο, καθώς ένας εργάτης άνοιγε την τρύπα για να μπορέσουν οι υπόλοιποι να ξεσφηνώσουν το κεφάλι του σκύλου.
Οι τοπικές αρχές έσπευσαν στη περιοχή, αφού κάτοικοι τους είχαν ενημερώσει για τον παγιδευμένο σκύλο. Κατα τη διάρκεια της απεγκλώβισης, παρείχαν στον σκύλο τροφή και νερό, ώστε να μην κινδυνέψει η υγεία του.
Οι αρχές πλέον ψάχνουν για μια οικογένεια που να μπορεί να υιοθετήσει το λυκόσκυλο.
