A squad of firefighters in China have saved a man from his washing machine after he somehow managed to get his trapped inside the device.
Reports said he was inspecting the machines roller when he stuck his head in and could not get it out again.
The unnamed victim from Fuqing, a county-level city in East Chinas Fujian Province, is said to have been preparing to do his laundry when he turned on the power of the machine but noticed that it was not responding.
After pressing a number of different knobs on the machine and getting no response, he thought the roller might have been malfunctioning due to a foreign object being stuck inside.
The poor man then decided to stick his head into the cylindrical space to inspect the roller, but was horrified to find himself stuck in the machine.
The victim later explained: "I managed to very successfully stick my head into the machine, so I dont understand why I got stuck."
The man, shirtless and flushed from trying to escape the washing machine, was found by his flatmate minutes later.
The flatmate reportedly tried to free the man by applying soap to his neck, but all attempts were unsuccessful.
In the end a team of six firemen arrived to rescue the man by sawing through the plastic roller and eventually pulling it apart.
The entire rescue took about 40 minutes, reports said, with the victim suffering minor cuts on his head, but otherwise not in life-threatening condition.

Πυροσβέστες έσωσαν έναν άντρα όταν κατάφερε να σφηνώσει το κεφάλι του στο πλυντήριο, αφού η εκείνο αρνούνταν να λειτουργήσει.
Χρειάστηκαν 6 πυροσβέστες και 40 λεπτά προσπαθειών για να τον ελευθερώσουν από αυτή την δύσκολη θέση που βρισκόταν στο σπίτι του στην Κίνα.
Το περιστατικό συνέβη όταν ο άντρας δεν μπόρεσε να βάλει το μηχάνημα να λειτουργήσει για να πλύνει τα ρούχα του.
Έτσι, αποφάσισε να βάλει το κεφάλι του στο πλυντήριο για να δει καλύτερα τι φταίει. Οι συγκάτοικοί του τον βρήκαν σε αυτή την κατάσταση και προσπάθησαν με σαπούνι να τον βγάλουν.
Ωστόσο, δεν μπόρεσαν να τα καταφέρουν και έτσι αναγκάστηκαν να καλέσουν την πυροσβεστική για βοήθεια. Εκείνος εξήγησε: ‘Έβαλα το κεφάλι μου πολύ εύκολα. Ακόμα δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω γιατί σφήνωσε έτσι.’
Οι πυροσβέστες τον βρήκαν στο πάτωμα να προσπαθεί να απεγκλωβιστεί.
Αρχικά αφαίρεσαν τον κάδο από το υπόλοιπο πλυντήριο για να δώσουν λίγο χώρο και αέρα στον παγιδευμένο άντρα. Μετά, αποσυναρμολόγησαν το υπόλοιπο μηχάνημα κομμάτι κομμάτι και τελικά κατάφεραν να τον απεγκλωβίσουν χωρίς να τραυματιστεί σοβαρά.
Είχε μόνο λίγες γρατσουνιές στο κεφάλι και το λαιμό του από τις προσπάθειες που έκανε για να βγει. Εσείς έχετε βρεθεί ποτέ σε παρόμοια θέση;
